"We are delighted to announce that we have officially moved to the next stage in the process of obtaining a permanent EuroLeague license (franchise). EuroLeague CEO Chus Bueno has informed the club that our application has been selected for the next round. We will continue to work with great determination and make every possible effort to make Hapoel Jerusalem a permanent member of the EuroLeague," the club stated in a press release.

This summer, Hapoel Jerusalem has strengthened its roster with key acquisitions including Shake Milton, Kenneth Lofton Jr., David Roddy, and Jaleen Smith, as well as welcoming former Monaco coach Sasa Obradovic.

The Israeli team is currently competing in the EuroCup this season, in a group alongside Le Mans, and aims to win the trophy as a direct pathway to the EuroLeague.
